Section 2: General Foundation
In this section, you will learn on how to get start with LeanIX and start with creating your data repository.

After going through the content from Section 2, you should be able to:
- Understand the General foundation of how our Continuous Transformation Platform works and get practical experience while using LeanIX workspace.
- To work with our Data Models, Fact Sheets and Inventories, and in-depth understand what is application in LeanIX, which are it's attributes and and why the application is in the heart of Data Model.
- Understand what is meant by the term “Business Capabilities” and why they are important, whether your application landscape is aligned with your business capabilities and who are the users of the applications.
- Import your data in our platforms and build your data repository in an efficient way using EAM APM and SMP SaaS Discovery & Catalog and thus create full transparency of your IT landscape.
- Successfully collaborate with your team, improve you current state of the Fact Sheets and add all the necessary attributes, as well to pull variety of the reports and how to interpret them.
